Mark van Geertruyen

CIO at Brussels Airlines

Mark Van Geertruyen has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Mark started their career at Avanade, where they worked as a Manager and was responsible for infrastructure projects for Avanade and Accenture. Mark then moved on to work on various projects for different companies, including a financial services company in France and a manufacturing company in Germany, as a Solution Architect. Mark also worked as a Technical Advisor for the Government in Saudi Arabia, where they provided technical advice and coordinated third parties for a prestigious project. In 2011, Mark held various roles in a data center transformation project for a Belgian travel agent. Mark joined Brussels Airlines in 2015 as an IT Infrastructure Architect and eventually became the Head of Service Delivery. In 2019, they briefly worked at Eurowings before returning to Brussels Airlines as the CIO and Head of IT Operations, Infrastructure and Development.

Mark Van Geertruyen attended VTI Dendermonde from 1991 to 1994, where they obtained an A2 in Electronica. In terms of additional certifications, they have participated in various programs offered by Microsoft, such as MCAD for Microsoft .NET and MCSE Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Mark has also earned certifications from Check Point and The Open Group, including the TOGAF® Certification Program. The exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
