Sonja Gehlen

Sonja Gehlen has extensive work experience spanning several companies. Sonja began their career in 2003 as an Advisor Tax Merchant Banking at Fortis Bank where they worked until 2005. From there, they went on to work at Valeo as an Accounts Payable from February 2006 to November 2006, then as a Cost Controller from November 2006 to October 2008, and finally as an Industrial Controller from June 2007 to October 2008. Sonja then joined Valeo Radar Systems as a Management Controller from October 2008 to September 2009. Following this, Gehlen worked at Brussels Airport Company where they held various roles including Financial Controller from September 2009 to November 2013, Central Services Manager for Infrastructure, Facilities & Construction department from November 2013 to May 2018, Senior Aviation Development Manager from May 2018 to June 2023, and currently holds the position of Head of Aerodrome Operations from June 2023 onwards. Additionally, they participated in the Young Leaders - Inspiring Mentors program and served as a Management Committee Member from May 2016 onwards.

Sonja Gehlen began their education in 1998 at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, where they pursued a Master's degree in Finance & Administration. Sonja completed their studies at this institution in 2003.

Sonja then continued their education at the Ichec Brussels Management School, where they obtained a second Master's degree in Taxation. Sonja attended this school from 2003 to 2005.
