Annick Vanderpoorten

Annick Vanderpoorten is an experienced professional in environmental policy and planning, currently serving as the Head of the Air-Climate-Energy Planning Service at Bruxelles Environnement - Leefmilieu Brussel IBGE-BIM since 2018, overseeing a team of ten. Since August 2014, Annick has also been a planner for air-climate-energy policies within Bruxelles-Environnement. Prior roles include Political Advisor at the Minister's Office for Environment, Energy, and Urban Renovation from 2011 to 2014, where responsibilities included coordinating regional air, climate, and energy policies, and overseeing regulatory implementation. Additionally, Annick worked as a Project Officer and Political Collaborator at WWF-Belgium, directing conservation projects and engaging in communication strategies, and held positions focused on air quality and industrial policy at Inter-environnement Wallonnie and as a Project Officer for sustainable development awareness at WWF-Belgium. Annick holds a Specialized Studies Diploma in Environmental Science and Management from Université catholique de Louvain and a Master's degree in Geographic Sciences from Université libre de Bruxelles.
