Mark McMurray

Mark McMurray is an experienced energy professional currently serving as an Energy Trader at Bryan Texas Utilities since April 2013. Previously, Mark held significant roles at Direct Energy, including Head of ERCOT Regulatory, where Mark influenced regulatory rule changes and collaborated with Energy Trading and Operations on ERCOT and PUCT rules. Mark also served as the Director of US Real Time Operation, focusing on the Texas Nodal project and implementing operations for wind farms and gas-fired CCGT. Earlier in the career, Mark worked as Operations Manager at Shell Trading, overseeing real-time trading and the implementation of dual grid generation in ERCOT and SPP, and as an ERCOT Trader at American Electric Power, assisting in establishing 24-hour trading operations post-merger. Mark holds a degree from McMurry University.
