Nathaniel Booth

Nathaniel Booth has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2009, they took on the roles of Head Resident Assistant, Tutor Coordinator, and Teacher at the TRiO Upward Bound Summer Program. In 2012, they became an Academic Tutor and Director of Quality Assurance at Clubz In Home Tutoring. In 2016, they were a Mentor at Udacity. In 2018, they were a Data Scientist Instructor at the Omaha Data Science Academy. Finally, in 2019, they were a Space Technology Data Analyst and Intern at BryceTech. Throughout their roles, Nathaniel has been responsible for designing relational data models, transferring data from Excel spreadsheets to databases, creating reference and tutorial documentation, gathering requirements and data modeling processes, mapping ad hoc data sets, writing detailed documentation for procedures, earning the trust of the Mathematics Department at Bellevue East High School, guiding adult students through the academic process of obtaining their G.E.D., teaching basic and intermediate database design and querying, command line and shell scripting, basic and intermediate Python programming, and test-driven development and object-oriented programming principles. Nathaniel has also managed tutoring schedules, supervised tutor performance, developed and maintained tracking procedures for student and tutor performance, documented students' progress, created and maintained databases for professional staff to view student performance and interventions, supervised teams of resident assistants and tutors, taught a high school senior seminar, and tutored low-income and first generation college bound students.

Nathaniel Booth's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education; Endorsement; Social Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, obtained between 2006 and 2011. Nathaniel also completed a Nanodegree in Data Analyst from Udacity in 2017 and an Introduction to Programming Nanodegree from Udacity in 2015. In 2010, they attended the University of Marburg for a field of study in History and Political Science. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera and edX, including a Verified Certificate for MIT's The Analytics Edge in 2016, a Nebraska Substitute Teacher's Certificate in 2016, and Honor Code Certificate for MIT's Big Data and Social Physics in 2014.
