Torsten Roethel

Torsten Roethel is a seasoned professional in digital security and governance with over 19 years of experience. Currently serving as the Head of Digital Security Governance at BSH Home Appliances Group since July 2014, Torsten ensures the integration of digital security into the company's success. Previous roles at BSH include Head of Information Security Governance and Head of IT Security Governance, where responsibilities encompassed ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework management, alongside IoT and industrial IT security risk management. Prior to BSH, Torsten worked as a Manager in Governance, Risk and Compliance at PwC, consulting for international clients on Risk and Information Security Management Systems. Torsten began a career in the field as a Diploma Student and Intern at Infineon Technologies, focusing on monitoring and reporting platforms. Torsten holds a Diploma in Information Systems with a specialization in system development from the Technical University of Dresden.
