Annamaria Spokes

Annamaria Spokes currently serves as the Head of Information Security, Compliance & Assurance at BSI since March 2022, after leading Technology Governance at TES Global from October 2018 to March 2022. Annamaria's expertise encompasses global leadership in data protection, information governance, cyber security, and corporate risk management. Previous roles include IT Risk & Security Manager at the University of Bradford, Information Security Manager at Yorkshire Water, and Information Security Policy & Compliance Manager at the BBC. Annamaria has also held positions as Information Governance Manager at Leeds City Council, National Information Assurance Policy & Compliance Manager at the National Policing Improvement Agency, and Information Assurance Manager at Durham Constabulary. Earlier in the career, Annamaria was involved in various roles at West Yorkshire Police Force and worked as a Chemist at ICI / Zeneca.
