David Ormonde

David Ormonde is a seasoned professional in the medical device industry, currently serving as a Technical Specialist and Scheme Manager for the Vascular Team at BSI since August 2021. Prior to this role, David worked at TÜV SÜD as a Product Specialist and Client Manager, focusing on cardiovascular devices and acting as an authorized medical device reviewer under MDD & MDR. David's experience includes positions at Tendyne Holdings Inc. and Abbott as a Research and Development Engineer, as well as a Test Engineer at Medical Device Testing Services, where custom testing solutions for medical devices were designed and implemented. David started a career in engineering with a co-op position at Saint Jude Medical, contributing to the design of trans-catheter aortic valve implants, and a Senior Research Assistant role at the NOvA Neutrino Laboratory. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
