Kostas Bozonelos

Kostas Bozonelos is an experienced operations manager at BSRC Alexander Fleming, overseeing the Transgenics Facility since October 2013 and managing the archive. Responsibilities include the cryopreservation and distribution of transgenic models to global research organizations as part of the European network for mutant strain archiving and distribution (EMMA). Prior to this role, Kostas served as a research assistant and cryopreservation specialist at the same institution from 2005 to 2013, focusing on optimizing standard operating protocols for in vitro fertilization and cryopreservation. Kostas holds a Master’s Degree in Medicinal Chemistry with a focus on Drug Discovery and Design from the University of Patras and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the same university.
