Vasileios Ntafis

Head-designated Veterinarian, Laboratory Animal Facilities at BSRC Alexander Fleming

Vasileios Ntafis's work experience includes roles at various organizations. From March 2012 to the present, they worked as the Head-Designated Veterinarian, responsible for managing the operations, personnel, and logistics of the animal facilities at BSRC Alexander Fleming. Vasileios also served as the Scientist-in-Charge for mouse phenotyping services. In September 2023, they became an Ad hoc Specialist for AAALAC International. In 2020, they were an Invited Reviewer for the European Research Council. From August to October 2011, they were the Designated Veterinarian for the Laboratory Animal Facilities at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Vasileios Ntafis holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Veterinary Virology from the Agricultural University of Athens. Vasileios completed their PhD in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science - MS degree in Reproduction of Farm Animals from the same university in 2006. Additionally, they studied Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2005.
