Michael Kelly has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Michael started their career at PostGEM in 1989, where they served as General Manager for ten years. In 2000, they became the Director of the Internet Services Provider Association of Ireland until 2009. From 2002 to 2012, they worked at BT as the Head of Engineering Planning & Design. Since 2012, they have been with BT Ireland, holding the position of Head of Operations - Emergency Call Answering Service (ECAS).
Michael Kelly received an MSc degree in Telecommunications from UCL, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. During their time at UCL, they also completed coursework in Telecommunications at USC Marshall School of Business in 2006. In 1989, Michael pursued an MBA degree at Trinity College Dublin, and they completed their studies in 1991. Before these higher education experiences, Michael attended St Paul's College in Raheny, Dublin 5, although the specific dates are unclear.
