Evan Gerontakis

Evan Gerontakis is an experienced Site Reliability Engineer Principal at BT Group since September 2025, previously serving as Network Systems Lead & Architect at G.Network Communications where responsibilities included architecting and delivering complex Network Support Systems. Prior roles at BT Group included CDN Design Specialist, where Evan focused on network designs for BT's CDN platform, and Transmission Integration Manager, overseeing design verification and integration for fibre optic core Transmission networks. Additionally, Evan contributed as a Core Transmission Professional, evaluating emerging technologies and providing design support. Prior experience includes a position as Lab Teaching Assistant at the University of Athens and research roles from 2008 to 2011. Evan holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Athens.
