Ilze Saukane

Ilze Saukane has extensive experience in the financial industry. Ilze started their career in 2000 as the Head of Credit Risk department at Baltic Trust Bank. Ilze then went on to work at Parex Bank as a Project Manager in the Corporate Lending department. In 2006, they joined Baltic Trust Bank/GE Money Bank as the Head of Product Development and Planning. Ilze later worked at GE Money Bank in various roles, including Head of Commercial lending and Mortgage division, Head of Self-audit in the Risk department, Head of Self-audit (process auditing of all bank's functions), and Compliance Leader. In 2014, they became the Deputy Manager of the Internal Audit Department at AS PrivatBank. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as the Compliance and Risk Manager at Transferta, SIA (Payment services, money remittance). Since 2016, they have been serving as the Quality and Risk Management Department Director at BTA Baltic Insurance Company AAS.

Ilze Saukane earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a specialization in law from Latvian University of Agriculture in 1997. Ilze then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Economics from Latvijas Universitate in 2000. Prior to their higher education, they attended Riga State Gimnasium No. 1 from 1982 to 1993.
