John McDermott

McDermott leads B+T Group’s finances as well as IT and HR operations for the organization. McDermott brings experience in complex financial reporting models, contract review and negotiation, and advanced forecasting and budgeting to B+T Group.

Prior to joining the company, McDermott served as Chief Financial Officer for Zeeco, Inc., a privately owned multi-national corporation specializing in engineered-to-order equipment for the energy industry, where he was responsible for the Accounting, Treasury, Information Technology, and Human Resource departments for more than 800 employees in ten countries.

McDermott’s accounting experience also includes work for Sartain Fischbein + Co., Jim Norton Auto Group, StaffMark, Inc., and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. McDermott earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Aukland, New Zealand, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Accountant through Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

McDermott was born in Liverpool, England, and was raised and educated primarily in New Zealand. McDermott has made his home in Tulsa for 22 years and lives here with his wife and children.
