Ayan Sharma

Ayan Sharma has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Ayan is currently the Head of Policy and Advocacy at BTG Legal since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Associate in Technology Law and Policy at PLR Chambers from December 2020 to July 2023. Ayan also served as an Associate Fellow and Program Coordinator in the Centre for New Economic Diplomacy at Observer Research Foundation from November 2018 to December 2020. Ayan had also worked as a Legal Consultant at Safe Water Network from March 2018 to November 2018. Before that, Ayan gained experience as a Conflict Resolution Specialist at the Asia Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center from October 2017 to January 2018. Ayan started their legal career as a Trainee Attorney at LEGALFORCE RAPC Worldwide from August 2017 to October 2017. Ayan has also worked as a Legal Intern at Earthjustice from January 2017 to April 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Indian Institute for Human Settlements from September 2014 to July 2016 and as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of India from August 2013 to September 2014.

Ayan Sharma completed their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Campus Law Center, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi between 2010 and 2013. Before that, they obtained a B.A. (Honors) degree in History from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, from 2007 to 2010. Ayan Sharma also pursued further education at the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International and Comparative Law from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, they attended Modern School, although the specific dates and degree obtained are unknown.
