Ernesto Meyer

Ernesto Meyer has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ernesto is currently the Global Head of Loan Syndications & Sales at BTG Pactual. Before that, they worked as a Joint-Entrepreneur at Trê Investindo com Causa, where they focused on the structuring and distribution of impact loans and sustainability linked bonds, as well as the development of a micro-financing platform. Ernesto also served as the CEO of Estudio ARA Financial Consulting, where they provided advisory services on debt-liability management and capital structure.

Prior to these roles, Ernesto held various managerial positions at BNP Paribas, including Managing Director, Head of Loan Book, Head of Loan Syndications and Acquisition Finance. Ernesto was responsible for booking, structuring, and distributing bilateral loans, acquisition finance, and syndicated transactions. Ernesto also managed DCM operations and developed client strategies with senior bankers.

Before joining BNP Paribas, Ernesto worked as an Associate Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., and as the Vice President of International Trade and Loan Syndications at Deutsche Bank. Ernesto also gained experience as an Acquisition Finance Officer at Champion Papel e Celulose Ltda. and as an International Correspondent at Privatization International Magazine. Ernesto started their career as a Marketing Executive at Reed Elsevier PLC.

Ernesto Meyer received their Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 1992. Ernesto then pursued a Master's degree in Economic History from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1994 to 1996. Ernesto also obtained additional certifications, including a Specialization in Credit Risk Management from NYU Stern School of Business in 1998 and a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge in 1993. Currently, they are pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Instituto Vera Cruz, expected to be completed in 2022.
