Brian Horne

Brian Horne is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in offshore wind. Currently serving as the Technical and Engineering Director at Buchan Offshore Wind since February 2025, Brian previously held the role of Technical Director - Offshore Wind at Kent from August 2023 to February 2025 and served as Director at INCH CAPE OFFSHORE LIMITED for a brief period in early 2023. Prior to that, Brian was the Head of Engineering at Red Rock Power Limited from August 2022 to August 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing all engineering aspects and promoting a robust safety culture. Brian also has a solid background at SSE Renewables, where roles included Head of Engineering (interim) and Structural and Geoscience Engineering Manager. Brian holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow and completed high school education at Biggar High School.
