Ganindu Nanayakkara has extensive work experience in the field of autonomous vehicle control systems development and research. Ganindu has held roles as a Technical Lead Engineer in Machine Learning and Autonomous Control Systems at Bucher Municipal UK, a Research and Development Engineer at Bucher Municipal UK and Harper Adams University, and an Autonomous Vehicle Control Systems Development Engineer at RDM Group and Aurrigo. Prior to these positions, Ganindu worked as a Research Assistant at Coventry University Future Vehicle Laboratory and Coventry University, where they focused on the development of low emission intelligent vehicles and advanced powertrain systems. Ganindu also gained experience as a student in Mechatronics Engineering at Asian Institute of Technology and as a Student Research Assistant in Robotics and control applications at Chulalongkorn University. Additionally, Ganindu has completed trainee and industrial trainee positions at Camoplast Solideal and SOLIDEAL / LOADSTAR, respectively.
Ganindu Nanayakkara earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology between 2011 and 2014. Prior to that, Ganindu Nanayakkara attended St. Thomas College Matara, Sri Lanka for high school. In 2016, Ganindu Nanayakkara obtained a certification in Robotics: Aerial Robotics from the Coursera Course Certificates.
