Maximilian Kostaras

Maximilian Kostaras has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Maximilian currently works as an Associate Design Director at Buck Mason since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Filson as a Designer for Knits, Sweaters, and Woven Shirts from January 2022 to March 2023. From October 2016 to November 2021, they were a Knitwear Designer for Men and Women's Apparel at Ralph Lauren. Maximilian also interned at Joe's Blackbook as an intern from September 2015 to October 2016. Before that, they were an Administrative Assistant to the Managing Directors/Owners at Active Cashmere from January 2015 to August 2015. Maximilian gained experience in design, sales, and production as a Design/Sales/Production Intern at Sködia from October 2014 to July 2015. Furthermore, they worked as a Market Intern at Thaddeus O'Neil during New York Fashion Week F/W 2015, and as a Pattern Making Intern at Creatures of Comfort from June 2014 to August 2014. Maximilian started their fashion career as an Apprentice at Innovate New York from January 2014 to August 2014, and earlier, they were a Founding Member, Translator, and Community Director at Bridge Sport from August 2012 to December 2012.

Maximilian Kostaras began their education in 2009 at Hunter College, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature and Adolescent Education. Maximilian successfully completed this program in 2014. In 2012, they took a break from Hunter College and attended The American University of Rome for a year, focusing on Classical Studies and Film. However, it is not specified whether they attained a degree during this time. After returning to Hunter College, Maximilian then went on to pursue an Associate's Degree in Menswear Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2016.
