Rod Buckingham CPP has a diverse work experience in the security and investigation field. Rod started their own company, Buckingham Investigations & Security Solutions, in 2013, where they currently hold the position of President and CEO. In 2015, they became the Security Director for the Canadian Football League. Before that, they worked as the Security Manager for the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club Inc. from 2014 to 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Security Services for the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, they were the Chairman of Safety and Security for the Grey Cup 2013 event. Rod also briefly held the title of Security Director for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2013. Rod started their career at the Regina Police Service in 1984 and worked their way up to Inspector in charge of the Criminal Investigation Division before leaving in 2009.

Rod Buckingham CPP has a Certificate of Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) obtained in July 2013 from the Business Continuity Institute. Rod also holds a Professional Certified Investigator certification obtained in September 2012 from the American Society of Industrial Security. Additionally, they have a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification obtained in September 2020 from ASIS International. Regarding their education history, Rod's education institutes include the Canadian Police College, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Academy, and The Wharton School, where they completed the ASIS Executive Education program in an unknown timeframe.
