Monique Smit

Monique Smit is an experienced Account Manager with a focus on Technical Sales in Paper Technologies at Buckman since February 2019. With a strong background in bioprocess science and engineering, Monique contributed as a Bioprocess Scientist and Engineer at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) from August 2012 to January 2019, and served as a SHEQ representative for over five years. Additional roles include tutoring science and biology at BrightSparkz Maths & Science Academy, interning at the National Research Foundation, and mentoring undergraduate students at Stellenbosch University. Monique holds a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, along with various certificates in business development, project management, and business systems analysis, complemented by a National Certificate in Patisserie from Capsicum Culinary Studio.
