Markus Lind has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Markus began their career as a Study Controller at the University of Jyvaskyla in 2004 and worked there until 2006.
In 2006, Markus joined Smith & Nephew as a Product Manager Orthopaedics, where they were responsible for product-related marketing and sales efforts. Markus also managed tenders and clinical studies in Finland and achieved the nomination for best Product Manager in the EMEA region in 2008 and 2009. Markus later became a Sales Manager Orthopaedics, leading a sales team and doubling revenue within three years. Markus was also a member of the Finnish Board and Nordic Management Team.
In 2012, Markus joined St. Jude Medical as an Account Manager. Markus successfully grew the market share within three university hospitals in Finland to 49%. Markus also created and maintained a model for competitor analysis and managed the tender process in Finland and the Baltics.
In 2017, Abbott acquired St. Jude Medical, and Markus continued working as an Account Manager until October 2017.
Currently, Markus is working at Buddy Healthcare as the Chief Sales Officer. Markus is responsible for leading and managing sales across the FI, UK, and DE markets. Markus is accountable for revenue forecasting, progress reporting, and executing the company's sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
Markus Lind completed their education in the following order:
1. From 2016 to 2020, Markus attended Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics.
2. Between 2002 and 2006, Markus studied at the University of Jyväskylä, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Sport Biology with a focus on biomechanics.
3. From 2000 to 2004, Markus pursued a degree in Medical Engineering at Jyväskylä, University of Applied Sciences.
In addition to their formal education, Markus also obtained a certification as a Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) from Reaktor in May 2023.
