Ian Girard has held various positions over the past decade. From 2011 to 2009, they were a Production Technical Director at Budge Studios, where they worked with C# (Mono), Unity (3.x, 4.x), ShaderLab, Subversion, Xcode, Redmine, and Mac OS X. From 2009 to 2008, they were an Analyste-Programmeur at JOVACO Solutions Inc., where they designed quality code for a manufacturing order management module, developed efficient solutions to meet customer requirements, and worked with Microsoft technologies to integrate solutions to Dynamics. In 2008, they were a Développeur Web at Université de Sherbrooke for a four-month co-op, where they developed portals for the Department of Informatics, generated archetypes for the Plone 3.1.1 Web platform, and modified a Human Resources management application in Visual Basic to support the Web server relocation. In 2007, they were a Modélisateur d'Opérations and an Assistant Architecte d'Applications at Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada, both for four-month co-ops. Finally, in 2006, they were a Développeur PHP at Omnisource Communication for a four-month co-op.

Ian Girard attended Collège Lionel-Groulx from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a DEC in Informatique de Gestion. Ian then attended Université de Sherbrooke from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Baccalauréat in Informatique.
