Margaux Valenti is a Legal & Program Advisor at Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper. Margaux has also worked as a Policy Intern at the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, a Sea Grant Fellow at the Great Lakes Commission, and a Water Policy Intern at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
Margaux Valenti has always been passionate about environmental policy and protecting the world’s water resources. Margaux pursued this interest by interning with the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, where they conducted legislative research and drafted bill language advocating for policy changes that would be advantageous to the environment. As a Sea Grant Fellow with the Great Lakes Commission, Margaux assisted with various projects related to invasive species, water policy, and legislative issues at the state and federal levels. In their role as a Water Policy Intern with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, they worked on initiatives to improve water quality in New York State.
In their current position as a Legal & Program Advisor at Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, Margaux provides legal and technical support to the organization’s advocacy and litigation efforts to protect and restore water quality in Western New York. Margaux also develops educational materials and programs to engage the community in these efforts. Through their work, Margaux is committed to ensuring that everyone has clean water to drink, swim, and fish in – now and for future generations.
Margaux Valenti is a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law and Graduate School. Margaux is certified from Yoga Alliance in Yoga Teacher. Margaux is also certified from New York State Unified Court System in Member New York State Bar.
