Robert Joyce

Robert Joyce currently serves as the 1st Vice President for the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association, beginning in January 2024. Joyce has extensive experience within law enforcement, holding the position of Police Captain with the Buffalo Police Department since May 2018 and having previously served in various roles, including Police Captain and Police Lieutenant with the City Of Buffalo Police Department from July 1996 to May 2018. Additionally, Joyce held a part-time role as Site Supervisor for G4S at Buffalo City Hall from May 2016 to June 2018, contributing to the development of post locations and responsibilities. Joyce is a Persian Gulf Veteran, having served as a Surgical Technician in the United States Army Reserve from November 1989 to June 1997. Educational background includes studies at the Academy of Health Sciences at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and a High School Diploma from Bishop Timon High School, attained in 1986.
