Emma Hartman

Emma Hartman is an experienced professional in public health and community outreach, currently serving as a Contributing Writer for Buffalo Rising since February 2023 and as a Grant Writer/Developer for the Independent Health Foundation since July 2019. Previously, Emma held the position of AmeriCorps VISTA Member, focusing on capacity building for community health initiatives, and served as a Direct Support Intern at People Inc., where advocacy for individuals with disabilities was a primary responsibility. Emma's foundational experience includes internships at the State University of New York College at Brockport, where collaborative health programs were developed, and an Advocacy Research Internship with the Disability Federation of Ireland. Emma holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from SUNY Brockport, earned in 2019.
