Crystal J. Rodriguez-Dabney is the current Chief of Staff & Chief Diversity Officer at Buffalo State College. Crystal was previously with the City of Buffalo as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and later as the Chief Diversity Officer. In this role, they were responsible for leading the citywide efforts in promoting and advancing the Mayor’s Opportunity Agenda, which included their diversity goals. Crystal provided leadership and strategic direction in connection with the recruitment and retention of employees from underrepresented groups and established the City's Transgender employee policy, making City Government a more welcoming place for the entire LGBTQ+ community.

Prior to their work with the City of Buffalo, they were with Attract, Manifest, Repeat Female Entrepreneurial Retreat as an Event Organizer.

Crystal J. Rodriguez-Dabney is a native of Buffalo, New York and a graduate of SUNY Fredonia.

Crystal J. Rodriguez-Dabney has a J.D. and LL.M. from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Crystal also has a BA in Social Sciences from California State University San Marcos. Crystal has an Advanced Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. Crystal is certified as a Master Business Success Coach, Life Coach, and Master Life Coach from the American Union of NLP. Crystal is also certified as a Law of Attraction Wealth Practitioner, Advanced Practitioner, and Basic Practitioner from the Global Sciences Foundation. Finally, they are certified as a Diversity Professional from Diversity Training University International.
