Mohammed Elmasry

Mohammed Elmasry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mohammed is currently working as a CTF Player at TryHackMe since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at The Egyptian Ethylene & Derivatives Company - ETHYDCO as an Information Security Engineer and ICS, Instruments and Systems Engineer from 2016 to 2019. Mohammed also has experience as a Bug Hunter (Web Application Penetration Tester) freelancer at Bugcrowd and HackerOne, starting in 2019 and 2018 respectively. Before that, Mohammed worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Softxpert from 2015 to 2016, where they managed and troubleshooted network infrastructure and configured servers and devices. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Specialist at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers from 2013 to 2015, where they managed network infrastructure and end points. Mohammed also has experience as a Technical Support Engineer at "IBC" Company for smart and security systems in 2013, where they installed, configured, and troubleshooted low current systems. Additionally, Mohammed worked as a Technical Support Specialist at "Oldstory Sro" Private Online game server in 2012, where they provided Windows server support and performed bug analysis.

Mohammed Elmasry's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University. Mohammed pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering, completing their studies in 2012.

In 2014, Mohammed pursued further education by obtaining a diploma in Information Security from the Ministry of Communications IT (MCIT).

In terms of certifications, Mohammed has achieved several throughout their career. In December 2014, they obtained the MCPS (Microsoft Certified Professional), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) in Windows Server 2012, and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) in Server Infrastructure. Mohammed also earned the MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) certifications in Networking Fundamentals and Security Fundamentals in November 2014.

More recently, Mohammed obtained various certifications related to cybersecurity. In August 2020, they obtained the Introduction Badge from PentesterLab. In 2023, they completed the Jr Penetration Tester Learning Path, Web Fundamentals Learning Path, and Pre Security Learning Path from TryHackMe. Additionally, in July 2023, they obtained the Recon Badge from PentesterLab.

One certification, the Certified Ethical Hacker v8 from EC-Council, does not have information available regarding the exact month and year of completion.
