Joaquín Miguel Fernández Barreiro has a diverse work experience in the mobile industry. From 2012 to 2019, they worked for Giesecke+Devrient Mobile Security, where they started as a Software Engineering Intern and progressed to Team Lead Software Innovation and Solutions. In this role, they were responsible for leading multiple scrum teams, mentoring and developing team members, and becoming a key part of the recruitment process. From 2019 to present, they have been working at Build38 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) & Co-Founder and Managing Director Iberia & Co-Founder. In these roles, they have been helping Banks, Fintechs, Telcos, Automotive, Healthcare and Identity Service Providers to protect their Mobile Channel with Build38's Trusted Application Kit & CyWall Solutions and Services.

Joaquín Miguel Fernández Barreiro attended Fundación Llor from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Technological High School degree. Joaquín Miguel then attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2009 to the present, where they are pursuing a Telematics Engineering, Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications degree in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones. Additionally, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2016.
