Anthony W. Long

Tony is a seasoned and innovative executive with 30 plus years of experience in commercial real estate, development, brokerage, corporate real estate services, property technology and real estate capital markets. He possesses a wealth of expertise in areas such as CRE Investor Services (across all product types), organizational transformation, growth initiatives, key client account management, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Additionally, Tony has a global perspective. He has extensive knowledge and experience with building and operating large scale businesses located in Canada, Latin America, Eastern and Western Europe as well as Asia and Pacific.

In 2019, Tony co-founded with Brad Copeland, a 30 plus year friend and colleague to start CLX Ventures. CLX Ventures is focused on developing and investing in CRE in Texas with a current focus on Industrial/Logistics and multifamily.

Tony was with Trammell Crow Company and CBRE for 32 years. His most recent role was Global Chief Client Officer for CBRE. This role was focused on CBRE’s top 500 clients. During his tenure, those clients grew to just over 55% of the company’s revenues (2016-2018).

From 2010 to 2015 Tony served as Global President of CBRE’s Asset Services business with over 15,000 employees. Asset Services is a core service to CBRE, the largest commercial real estate company in the world. This line of business includes real estate services rendered on behalf of the Investor clients of the firm that include disciplines such as Client and Fund Accounting, Property Management, Project Management (also known as Construction Management), Agency Leasing and Technical Services (including Sustainability and Wellness Services). At the time of his service, the Asset Services portfolio was by a wide margin the industry’s largest at 2.5 billion square feet under management.

Tony has demonstrated skill in managing and leading large, public Fortune 500 companies. He is skilled at getting technology initiatives and assignments completed such as transformational IT projects (AssetView, winner of 2016 Diggie Award from Realcomm) and global Client Account Management initiatives.
