David Roberts is an experienced theater management professional currently serving as President of Building for the Arts NY, Inc. since December 2022 and as Faculty at both The New School and the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. Previously, David held roles such as Interim Managing Director of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and Interim Director of Theatre Operations at Building for the Arts. With a solid foundation in leadership positions, including Executive Director at 651 ARTS and Stage Directors and Choreographers Workshop Foundation, and Managing Director at both Classical Theatre of Harlem and The Pearl Theatre Company, David possesses extensive knowledge in organizational strategy, budget management, and staff mentorship. Academic qualifications include an MFA in Theater Management from Yale University and a BA in Acting from Webster University.
