Sylvia Romo has held various leadership roles in organizations focused on human rights, social justice, and education. With a background in Latin American Studies and Peace and Conflict Studies, Sylvia has worked as a Program Coordinator, State Policy Fellow, Interim Executive Director, and Teacher Trainer. Currently, Sylvia serves as the Director of Systems Change and Worker Voice at Building Skills Partnership and the State Policy Fellow at the Women's Foundation California's Dr. Beatriz Maria Solis Policy Institute. Throughout their career, Sylvia has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing racial, economic, and gender justice.
