Ben Behzad Bayat

Ben Behzad Bayat, P. Eng, PhD, is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in structural engineering and management. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Building Theory since November 2019, Ben has previously held leadership roles at HDR as Manager of the Structural Department and as Engineering Manager at Pre-Con, where contributions included overseeing engineering teams and managing significant projects across various sectors. With a strong educational foundation, including a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University Technology of Malaysia, Ben's expertise encompasses project management, design development, and collaboration with municipal and construction stakeholders. Notable achievements include leading complex infrastructure projects and initiating quality control processes while actively engaging in health and safety initiatives within the engineering field.
