Dr. Jens Hirsch

Dr. Jens Hirsch has a diverse work experience in the field of sustainability and scientific research. Dr. Jens currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at BuildingMinds since March 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Sustainability & Scientific Research at BuildingMinds from January 2022 to March 2023. Before joining BuildingMinds, Dr. Hirsch worked as a Domain Expert in Sustainability at BuildingMinds from September 2020 to March 2022.

Before their tenure at BuildingMinds, Dr. Hirsch held the position of Head of Research at Institut für Immobilienökonomie from July 2017 to September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientific Employee at Kompetenzzentrum für Nachhaltigkeit in der Immobilienwirtschaft (IRE|BS, Universität Regensburg) from January 2012 to November 2015.

Dr. Jens Hirsch completed their education in two prestigious institutions. Dr. Jens began their academic journey in 2004 at the University of Regensburg, where they pursued a Diplom degree in Geographie. This course of study lasted until 2011, equipping him with a solid foundation in the field. Subsequently, they embarked on further academic pursuits and successfully completed a Doktor (Ph.D.) degree in Immobilienwirtschaft at the University of Regensburg from 2012 to 2016. With these credentials, Dr. Jens Hirsch possesses a comprehensive educational background in both Geographie and Immobilienwirtschaft.
