Seckin Dinc

Seckin Dinc has a strong background in data and analytics, with a focus on leadership and mentoring.

Starting in 2008, they worked as a Data Mining and Machine Learning Specialist for SPSS, where they led proof of concepts and represented IBM at conferences. Seckin also wrote articles about IBM's Machine Learning and Data Science portfolio.

In 2011, Seckin joined Cybersoft as the Data Science and Data Engineering Lead. Seckin led various teams and projects, including the development of a real estate tax fraud detection tool. Seckin built an end-to-end data collection and modeling architecture, integrating over 100 data sources.

In 2017, Seckin became the Principal Data Scientist at Comodo, where they led the research and development of data science and machine learning products. Seckin built an anomaly detection framework that improved the true positive rate of their security product by 45%.

Moving on to Wunder Mobility in 2019, Seckin served as the Data Team Lead. Seckin led data engineers and marketing analysts, coached team members, and provided vision for the team's goals.

From 2020 to 2023, Seckin worked at FREE NOW as the Head of Data and Product. Seckin was responsible for building the Growth Marketing Automation sub-domain and developing a Machine Learning platform. This resulted in savings of millions of euros for the company.

Most recently, in 2022, Seckin joined The Mentoring Club gUG as a Mentor. Seckin supports mentees in a wide range of topics, including career change into the data domain, interview preparation, data product development, and leadership.

Seckin's most current role is as the Head of Data & Analytics at BuildingMinds, starting in 2023. The details of this role are not provided.

Seckin Dinc completed a product leadership program at Reforge in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology Systems from Hacettepe University from 2008 to 2011. Seckin also holds a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from the same university, which they earned between 2004 and 2008. In addition to their formal education, Seckin has obtained various certifications, including "10 Mistakes Leaders Should Avoid," "Giving and Receiving Feedback," "How to Speak So People Want to Listen," "Listen to Lead," "Rock Your LinkedIn Profile," and "Product Leadership" from LinkedIn, as well as a certification as a Certified Mentor from The Mentoring Club gUG. These certifications were obtained between 2022 and 2023.
