Herky Gottfried

Herky Gottfried has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1987 as a Computer Scientist Intern at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. From 1988 to 1990, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Xerox PARC. In 1990, they joined Pacific Gas & Electric as a Computer Systems Analyst until 1994. Herky then worked at Oregon State University as a Research Assistant from 1995 to 1996. From 1997 to 2009, Herky worked at Hewlett Packard as a Senior IT Engineer, focusing on software development, processes improvement, and database design. In 2009, they joined Fiserv as a Senior Software Engineer, where they co-led a team and served as a scrum master for the development of a web-based financial system. Currently, Herky is employed at Buildium. Herky started as a Principal Software Engineer in 2013 and progressed to Director of Engineering in 2015. In 2021, they became the Director of Technology and is currently a Senior Director of Technology.

Herky Gottfried completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematical and Computational Sciences from Stanford University in the years 1986-1990. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, completing it between 1994 and 1996.
