Nikhil Kulkarni

Nikhil Kulkarni has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Nikhil is currently the Founder of Buk Technology, a tokenisation protocol that brings traceability, tradability, and transparency to the hospitality industry through blockchain technology. With BUK, Nikhil aims to create a transparent secondary marketplace for room nights, benefiting both hotels and retail/trade channel users.

Prior to Buk Technology, Nikhil was the Co-founder and Director of Darwin Travel Tech, where they played a crucial role in addressing the challenges faced by the travel industry due to the rise of the "silent traveler." Nikhil focused on providing the right tools for these travelers to plan and book their holidays.

Nikhil also worked at KPMG, starting as a Senior Consultant in 2005 and progressing to roles such as Assistant Manager, Manager, and Associate Director. At KPMG, they specialized in IT Advisory, offering guidance to clients on areas including governance, security, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and architecture & infrastructure. Additionally, Nikhil mentored teams, managed project operations, and contributed to emerging technology research and Thought Leadership initiatives.

Nikhil briefly served as an Advisor at KPMG's Intellectual Property Services in the UK, where they provided their expertise on intellectual property matters.

Early in their career, Nikhil worked as a Summer Intern at Aditya Birla Group, gaining valuable experience in a range of business functions.

Nikhil Kulkarni completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications at BIT, Durg from 1999 to 2003. Nikhil then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering in 2004 and 2005. Prior to their higher education, Nikhil attended Campion School in Bhopal from 1985 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, they became a DSCI Certified Privacy Lead Assessor in December 2013 through the DSCI - a NASSCOM initiative.
