Mircho Marchev

Mircho Marchev serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Bulgarian National Bank since January 2007. Previously, Mircho held the position of CIO at the Ministry of Finance in 2005 and was the CEO of Information Services Plc from 2003 to 2004. From 1997 to 2003, Mircho worked as a Scientist at the Ministry of Defence and was classified at the General Staff of the Bulgarian Army between 1994 and 1997. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate study in Global Management and Leadership from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia, as well as a PhD in Informatics from the National Defence Academy (G.S. Rakovski). Additionally, Mircho earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from the University of Economics - Varna and a Master's degree in Information Technology from the National Military University.
