Milagros de la Cancela (Millie)

Milagros (Millie) De La Cancela has extensive experience in financial reporting and technical accounting. Currently, they serve as the Head of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at Bumble. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Financial Reporting at WeWork from 2019 to 2021. Before their time at WeWork, Milagros worked as a Consultant for Robert Half, where they conducted GAAP technical accounting research for complex transactions. Milagros (Millie) also has experience as a Senior Director of Financial Reporting at NBCUniversal Media, LLC and as an Executive Director of External Reporting at The New York Times. Milagros has a strong background in preparing financial reports, implementing new accounting standards, and coordinating with auditors. Their past roles also include positions at IntraLinks, Westchester Community College, Mercy College, D&R Taxguys, Inc, and MBIA.

Milagros (Millie) De La Cancela completed their Masters in Business Administration and Accounting at Pace University from 1996 to 1999. Milagros (Millie) then pursued further education at Yale School of Management, where they attended the Women's Leadership Program starting in 2017. Apart from their educational qualifications, Milagros also obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from New York State in 2001.
