Mohd Azizi Jaafar has a diverse work experience as a marine engineer with various companies. Mohd Azizi started their career in 2006 at MISC Berhad, where they worked until 2012. Mohd Azizi then worked at Alam Maritim Resources Berhad in 2013 and later moved to SAPURA Energy Berhad in 2013-2014. In 2015, they worked at Grade One Marine Shipyard Sdn Bhd for a few months. Mohd Azizi then joined Petra Energy Berhad in 2017, Executive Offshore Pte Ltd in 2018, Target Mega Marine in 2019, and currently serves as the Chief Engineer at Bumi Armada since 2016.

Mohd Azizi Jaafar began their education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Ahmad Tajjudin, where they studied Accounting and Finance from 1999 to 2001. Mohd Azizi then attended Nibong Tebal Vocational College from 2002 to 2003, pursuing a degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician. From 2004 to 2007, they studied Marine Engineering Diploma at Ungku Omar Polytechnic, earning an Engineer's degree. In 2015, they briefly attended the Malaysian Maritime Academy to focus on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, specifically in the role of a 1st and 2nd Engineer Officer of 3000kW or more unlimited trade voyages.
