Petra Kaminsky

Petra Kaminsky is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in media and public relations. Currently serving as Director of Press and Public Relations at Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (BfS) since July 2022, Petra previously held various positions at dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH from June 2000 to July 2022, including Editor for dpa-Panorama, Correspondent and Regional Director in Southern Germany based in Rome, and Head of dpa-Story, focusing on multimedia presentations of special stories. Additionally, Petra was the Editorial Director of Panorama and served as the Children's Editorial Director, where Petra developed and led the agency's offerings for children. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Media Management from Hamburg Media School and a Diplom in Political Science, German Studies, and Philosophy from the University of Hamburg.
