David McLaughlin

David McLaughlin has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. David is currently working as a Product Manager at Buoyant, starting in February 2023. Before that, they held various roles at Twitter. From June 2022 to November 2022, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer. Prior to that, they were a Group Tech Lead of Twitter's Engineering Effectiveness organization, where they focused on improving software development efficiency across all engineering areas. David also served as a Senior Staff Engineer, leading the Twitter Compute Platform and introducing Kubernetes at the company. Additionally, they were a Tech Lead for the Deploy pillar, where they designed and built a Continuous Delivery platform. David's professional journey started at Nokia, where they worked as a Software Engineer from August 2009 to November 2011. David contributed to various projects, including the migration to a micro-service architecture and the development of real-time indexing infrastructure. Prior to Nokia, they held the role of Software Architect at s1. In this position, they worked on full-stack web development, including front-end development, and played a key role in modernizing software development practices.

David McLaughlin attended the University of Strathclyde from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
