Khurram Akhter

Khurram Akhter is an experienced medical professional with a diverse background in both general practice and remote healthcare. Currently serving as Lead Physician at Bupa since August 2019, Khurram oversees a rapidly expanding remote GP service and contributes to clinical governance and the implementation of new processes. Previously held roles include Chief Medical Officer at HealthAide and General Practitioner at Kry, where skills in remote medical settings were developed. Khurram has also worked as a GP and Practice Principal in the Australian Public Healthcare System, building significant client relationships, and has extensive experience in the NHS as a GP and Medical Doctor. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a BSc in Neuroscience, both from University College London.
