Tony Johnson

Mr Tony Johnson joined the Bupa ANZ Group Board as a Non-Executive Director in January 2022. Mr Johnson is Chair of the Bupa ANZ Board Audit Committee and a member of the Bupa ANZ Board Nomination Committee.

Mr Johnson’s was previously the Chief Executive Officer of EY in Oceania, a member of EY’s Asia Pacific Operating Executive and EY’s Global Practice Group. For over thirty years at EY, Mr Johnson combined both senior client service roles and firm leadership roles, including as Regional Managing Partner of EY’s Financial Services business across Asia Pacific and the Managing Partner of the Assurance business in Oceania.

Mr Johnson is a Director of the Australian Business & Community Network, Chair of the Fujitsu Australia Advisory Board, Member of the Kieser Australia Advisory Board, Member of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation Committee, Member of the 30% Club Education Working Group and Member of the UNSW Business Advisory Council. He was formerly a member of the Champions of Change Coalition, the Leadership Council on Cultural Diversity, Business Council of Australia (BCA) Economic Policy Committee and the Business Advisory Board of Monash University Business School.

Mr Johnson has a Bachelor of Economics, Master of Business Administration (Executive), Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment, Graduate and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and Fellow of FINSIA.
