Raphael Scherer

Raphael Scherer has extensive experience in the field of engineering and business development, currently serving as the Director of Global Business Development for Gas Gathering and Processing, as well as BCS Compressor, at Burckhardt Compression since March 2012. Previous roles at Burckhardt Compression include Director of Engineering and Project Manager, where Raphael successfully managed a portfolio of over 20 global projects valued at approximately CHF 50 million. Prior to this, positions included Ideas Manager and Industrial Engineer at MAN Diesel & Turbo Schweiz AG, focusing on continuous improvements and manufacturing process optimization. Additionally, experience as a Mechanical Designer at MAN Turbo AG Schweiz involved developing production technology for gas turbine blades. Early career experience included mechanist roles at Opernhaus Zürich AG and Zweifel AG. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Zurich University of Technology and an associate's degree in Information Technology from HSR.
