Amanda Watkins is an experienced professional in youth support and health promotion with a focus on addressing trauma, homelessness, and substance abuse. Currently serving as a Youth Specialist, Case Manager, and Project Coordinator at The Burdekin Association since January 2020, Amanda implements integrated community approaches to tackle issues affecting young people. Prior experience includes roles at South Pacific Private, where treatment for mental health and addiction was provided, and as a Health Promotion Consultant at Amanda Watkins Meaningful Interactions, where partnerships were developed for effective drug and alcohol education.
