David Byers

David Byers is a seasoned conservation professional with extensive experience in community engagement, environmental stewardship, and project coordination. Currently serving as a Park Ranger with the Bureau of Land Management since September 2020, Byers has previously held roles such as Community Conservation Manager at Potomac Conservancy and Outreach and Operations Manager at Canopy Family, where leadership and logistical oversight were key responsibilities. A commitment to collaborative conservation efforts is further demonstrated through service with the Peace Corps as a Trail Technician and Community Coordinator, as well as managing trail projects during tenure with the Student Conservation Association. Additionally, Byers has experience in media production and community training as the Production Manager for Telluride TV. David Byers holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
