Doug Herrema

Doug Herrema is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in land management and policy within the Bureau of Land Management since September 2006, serving as Business Transformation Project Manager and previously holding various leadership positions including Division Chief and Field Manager. Key accomplishments include leading the modernization of enterprise-level information systems, managing significant natural resource programs, and authoring BLM's first manual on national monuments and conservation areas. Herrema has also contributed legislative expertise as a Legislative Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives and worked as an Attorney-Advisor in the U.S. Department of the Interior. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Arts in Government, Environmental Studies, and Biology from Georgetown University.
