Jennifer Nelson

Jennifer Nelson is a Data Specialist at The Great Basin Institute, in a role focused on Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring data within the Bureau of Land Management Idaho State Office since July 2021. Prior to this position, Jennifer served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Mississippi State University, conducting research on white-tailed deer density estimation, and at Oregon State University, studying Roosevelt elk density. Jennifer's experience includes internships with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Forest Service, where contributions involved mapping invasive species, conducting bird surveys, and monitoring wildlife. Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Wildlife Biology and Mathematics from the University of Montana.
