Melanie McDaniels

Melanie McDaniels is an experienced professional in both wildland firefighting and sports coaching. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Operations for the Northern Utah Interagency Fire Center at the Bureau of Land Management, responsibilities include developing operational procedures and building strategic partnerships with other agencies. Melanie has a solid background as a professional wildland firefighter, an incident commander, and a risk management and safety expert. Additionally, Melanie is a snowboard coach with the Park City Ski & Snowboard Team and a certified snowboard and ski instructor, focusing on athlete development and guest engagement. Prior roles include positions with the U.S. Forest Service, Vail Resorts, and Raytheon Polar Services, complemented by a strong educational foundation in communication and wildland firefighting.
